Located at Nikunjam Tharangini Apartments near Kesavadasapuram, Trivandrum, this 3BHK interior project was designed by Perfect Interiors & Exteriors for Mrs. Jayanthi Itti, a beloved elder of the family, under the guidance of her daughter Dr. Preetha. The vision was heartfelt — to create a serene, nostalgic Kerala-style home interior that celebrates heritage and comfort. Every element reflects timeless beauty and emotional warmth, bringing together heirloom pieces and cherished memories from their ancestral home into a calm, elegant living space.
The main challenge was to bring the soul of a traditional Kerala home into a modern apartment without losing its emotional depth. Inspired by Mrs. Jayanthi’s fondness for heirloom pieces, we integrated vintage décor and family artefacts within a simple, graceful layout. All furniture and paneling were crafted in marine plywood with teak veneer, lending authenticity and strength. To balance tradition with functionality, we introduced subtle modern touches such as wallpaper, upholstered headboards, and a PVC modular kitchen, creating a seamless harmony between heritage design and contemporary comfort.
The finished home beautifully captures the essence of Kerala tradition while embracing the comfort of modern living. Warm teak tones, heirloom furniture, and soft lighting create an atmosphere of peace and nostalgia, evoking memories of ancestral homes. Every space feels connected and purposeful — crafted to offer familiarity, ease, and dignity for Mrs. Jayanthi Itti, a beloved elder of the family. This project stands as a graceful example of how Perfect Interiors & Exteriors redefines Kerala-style apartment interiors in Trivandrum, blending heritage and functionality with heartfelt design.
